With my art, I want to give people a short respite, time to pause for a moment, so they can see again how beautiful life and the natural world are and how connected we are to Mother Earth. Because we are all connected and we are all one: nature, animals and people - with different cultures, skin colors and religions.
My other favorite quote is from Albert Einstein - "Man is a part of the whole that we call the universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separate from the rest, a kind optical illusion of his consciousness. This illusion is a kind of prison for us, confining us to our personal desires and affection for a few people closest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison, by expanding our circle of compassion to all living beings and all of nature in its beauty."

Painted with Love
Natalia Schäfer (Schaefer) is a Germany based artist and illustrator. Since 2009, she has produced a variety of calendars, stationery products and gift books to great success, together with renowned German - language publishers.
Delicate mandalas with spiritual and contemplative patterns in glimmering shades of metallic colours illuminate spaces from the walls, alongside expressive abstract pain- tings and African- style pieces inspired by folk art you can‘t pigeonhole Natalia Schäfer. The work of the autodidact, as Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design, who was born in Russia and has lived in Germany for many years, is as multi- faceted as the techniques she has developed.
She uses materials such as genuine gold, silver and copper to perfect her paintings. Driven on by a profound appreciation of aesthetics, her gifts to the viewer are instances of beauty and relaxation in our often hectic everyday lives.
Natalia has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions and art shows in Berlin, London, Zurich, Gstaad, Montreux, Monaco, Venice, Miami, New York, Tokyo and Dubai.
In addition, she regularly runs workshops aimed at encouraging creativity in children and adults, In line with clients' wishes, she also works as commission artist and as a street artist to design indoor and outdoor spaces.
